Yes to all the above. Pull-ups are designed to hold less than diapers and overnight "underwear" are designed to hold more! Also, maybe warmer jammies or a sleep sack. Kids pee more at night of they are chilly. I thought it sounded nuts but tried it and it was true in our house. I like the CVS brand of overnight pull ups better than target or Goodnites.

When my son outgrew his size 6 diapers, we starting using GoodNites in size Small. They hold A LOT of pee, they’re basically an overnight diaper for bigger/older kids. I don’t think they’re like pull ups at all.

@Jennibenni: I was in your same situation! Try the Goodnights. This is what I buy my daughter:

https://www.target.com/p/goodnites-174-underwear-for-girls-giga-pack-select-size/-/A-17078568?preselect=15417311#lnk=sametab

Totally a night time game changer. Good luck!

@jennibenni

It has worked for us so far but we don’t have a heavy wetter. My understanding is that bc it’s for older kids, they should hold more?

We had this problem with my daughter - she was always a heavy overnight wetter but once we transitioned to 2 piece PJs, she would push the waist of her pants down and it caused all sorts of diaper fit problems. It was a phase we just have to live through. What ultimately helped the most is having her pee on the potty right before bed - even when we weren’t actually potty training. She was ok with it because her older sister had to do it too :wink: I know he’s super young, but maybe try that?

@Jennibenni: yes! They are made for kids who still wet overnight. They are geared towards older kids with bigger bladders. My 7 year old still wets overnight and when he goes, it’s a lot.

@Ms. RV: @KT326: @misolee: @macintosh: Do those types hold more than pull ups? I always assumed they were similar to pull-ups in capacity.

I’d consider asking the ped if it’s ok to limit liquids after a certain hour, assuming LO is gaining and eating/drinking well and has no other health issues.

My 18 month old started regularly soaking through overnight diapers several months ago. He is already in the size 6, so I’ve tried adding a sposie diaper liner. It worked ok for a while but lately he’s been soaked through more mornings than not and I’m constantly washing crib sheet and sleep sacks.

We were using up&up (target) overnights, and when those ran out recently I bought huggies to see if that might help, but I think it’s actually worse.

What’s the next step? Is there a next step?
