We move up usually when she's a couple of pounds away from the high weight. That's when the poops start exploding for us.

My LO had a few days of blowouts last week, but she still has lots of room in the size 1s, so we didn't go up a size, and she's been better lately. we size up when they get tight in the thighs.

@MrsH: I don't think that you need to go by the weight so much. We had to move up R before the weight cause they were getting tight on her legs, etc. I would give the size up a try. I mean you are going to need them one day anyway. Or try a different brand.

@Smurfette: not every time. Maybe 10-20% of the time she poops. To be honest I'm not sure even a bigger diaper could contain the amount.

We switched up styles. LO was blowing out of her size 2 pampers Swaddlers and was close to the high weight, so we sized up to 3s, but she still was having blowouts 5-6 times a week. My sister had some Pampers Babydrys that we tried. Much better, but not perfect. I'm going to try a few more options.

I've read that some people go the next size up for diapers but she isn't even close to the high weight.

What would you do?
