H&M fits a whole size bigger according to what we've had.

@Alba4: h&m fit great for my huge baby! He tended to fit in the size of the age he actually was or even smaller, which was untrue for every other brand. @peachykeen: I found about the 2t and up, H&M definitely gets a little more typical in sizing at that point.

I found H&M to be humongous until about 2 or 3T. Like last winter D was 3 and wearing 12-18m pants. Now granted, he's short for his age, but...not THAT short! And A is big for her age at 8m and perfectly fits their 9-12m size.

I have off the chart sized babies and have to size down at H&M. Every where else they are a size or two ahead. DD3 is in 18-24 months at BabyGap and 9-12 months at H&M.
They are a size ahead at Zara but that stuff seems more true to (normal) size.

Thanks everyone. My 4 month old is 19 lbs already and very chunky, so H&M sounds perfect, although I love the style of Zara. My 3 year old is tall and muscular, but could get away with slimmer styles.

I feel they both run long, but Zara is slimmer. Last time I went by measurements on their size charts, I ended up ordering smaller sizes than I normally would. Most of them fit well.

If Gap is your go-to, then maybe you should try H&M. I found gap to be quite wide. Zara might be too slim for your needs.

H&M runs huge, but you'll be good to go if you just follow their size chart. I remember looking at their size chart and realizing my son (who was in 2T) would need a 12-18 month.

I think H&M runs big - like a whole size maybe even more big compared to Carters. I bought some 1-2y sized stuff for DD1 who is 2t almost 3t and they were gigantic.

I think Zara is pretty true to size. I like the slim fitting stuff on my boys. H&M runs pretty big.

zara runs pretty true to size. they are a european brand so fitting is slimmer. h&m def runs big in the younger sizes particularly the pants. i always had to size down 2 sizes in pants for the kids. the tops are not as big but do tend to run a size large as well.

H&M is huge...especially bottoms. I think Zara runs more true to size from what I can remember, but I haven't bought a ton.

H&M runs huge for us compared to other brands. My 4 yo wears a 4 at carters, old navy, gap, etc and a 2-3 at H&M.

I don't know above 2T, but up until that point H&M seems to run pretty big. Like close to a full size bigger on DD, who has always generally fit into her "age" sizes in other brands. She's 26 months now and just starting to grow into some of her 18-24 month H&M clothing.

I just bought H&M pants in 9-12 months size for my tall 6 month old. I'd say they run true to size/bigger. LO's waist doesn't fit yet, but the length was good.

I've never purchased from Zara or H&M, but wanted to order some things online for my boys. Do they run small or big? My older DS wears a 4T in Gap and my younger DS is wearing 6-12 month in Gap. Thanks for your help!
