Have you tried any skinnytaste recipes? She has a pumpkin cupcake recipe that I really like- still a decent amount of sugar but less fat I think. You basically the a box mix and replace the oil and eggs with pumpkin and add pumpkin spice. Then lower fat cream cheese frosting. Skinny might be a stretch but thinner? http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/09/pumpkin-cupcakes-with-pumpkin-spiced.html?m=1

For real food I live the turkey pumpkin chili in that website. One of my favorite slow cooker meals ever.

Desserts only? Or any food? I always feel like chili is very fall-ish and is generally pretty healthy. Or chicken noodle soup.

For something sweet why not just make some cooked apples? Chop 'em up and sautee with a little water to get them breaking down (or some bourbon or whisky) and cook with cinnamon and nutmeg or whatever spices you like. Add a little honey or maple syrup for a little added sweetness.

Is it fat you're wanting to cut? Because you can take a regular pumpkin bread recipe and replace half the oil or butter with applesauce or more pumpkin amd the other half with coconut oil. If you want chocolate chips use 1/3 what the recipe calls for and use mini chocolate chips. And cut the sugar by a third. Quick bread recipes are pretty forgiving...

So I baked "skinny" pumpkin brownies and pumpkin bread and they both sucked.

Does anyone have healthier fall baking recipes that actually taste good or am I SOL?
