I'll be skipping my 37 week appointment since I'll be away for the week. Everything has been normal with me too, so I'm not worried about it.

Yes, the same one in fact! I had my 37 week appointment between Christmas and New Year's and was supposed to see another doctor in the practice since mine was on vacation- only he had an emergency and had to cancel... so I went for my normal 38 week appointment- not a big deal to them or me.

I wouldn't mind. As long as everything is going well, then I fully welcome one less trip to the dr :)

I think it's fine. The only thing is that preeclampsia can crop up late in a pregnancy, so just monitor yourself extra carefully for any weird signs like excess swelling.

I would be fine with that. Aside from hearing my baby's heartbeat, most appointments were pretty boring. It was of course reassuring to know everything was ok, but I'd definitely be okay with it.

Since I see a midwife & she comes to my home for my visits they've always been pretty relaxed.... around the time of when they should be, but not "exactly" at "x" weeks.

I'd be fine with it. =)

i haven't skipped any visits but i was willing to when they kept me waiting over an hour! i wanted to just leave. but unfortunately, i'm carrying twins and it's close to my twin due date, so my doctor wanted me to wait, so i did. but i would have been perfectly willing to skip a week. and i was annoyed they kept me waiting so long!

i think as long as you're feeling fine and you've had no issues, waiting is totally fine! good luck!

So far all has gone well with my pregnancy.
Weight is fine.
Urine has tested fine.
Blood pressure has always been normal.
Heart rate sounds good.
Baby moves around often - usually same times every day!

My appointment for this week with the OBGYN was originally scheduled for Tuesday - they then called and rescheduled it for today Thursday ... well the office just called and asked me to reschedule for tomorrow because the Doctor had an emergency, again. I really didn't see the point in going in tomorrow when my week 38 appointment is scheduled for Tuesday. (I'm still working and I hate having to keep telling my boss 'oh nvm now its this day at this time')

So the receptionist put me on hold and asked the nurse if it was okay to just skip this week all together and apparently she said yes because I was then told it was okay and that they will see me Tuesday in the early AM.

Would you be okay with that, the way I am? Have you skipped any visits?
