@Foodnerd81: That's great! I'm really hooing that DH and I can get better and get over our constant sicknesses if we aren't getting up during the MOTN!

Update: it's entirely possibly don't want to jinx myself) that E sleep trained in one night. I hope!!! She STTN last night and went down easy, AND took a good 2+ hour nap at daycare yesterday, which is her full first "normal" day in a long time! FX

@Smurfette: Noooo! I do think E's being a bit manipulative about it :) Our daycare lady said something about that being likely, too.

@Foodnerd81: They said if she wasn't markedly better over the weekend, to bring her in today, but she's a LOT better than last week. We have a follow up a week from tomorrow, anyways. The guest bed wouldn't bother me so much if i weren't pregnant, but it's absurdly uncomfortable compared to our memory foam bed. And i get up to pee soooo often, it's a pretty nonexistent option at this point.

That was is a week ago. I actually brought her back to the ped to make sure her ears were healing because her sleep was still so bad. Like you I think she just got used to the cuddles in the night. It took a good week or so but she seems to have gotten back to normal again (fingers crossed). We didn't totally re-sleep train, I decided to assume it was a regression and to do what had to be done (go and sleep in the bed in her room with her) until it was over. Sucks though.

Maybe it is an age thing, R has started waking at 6/630 lately.

R usually goes back to normal after being sick. but it does sound like she is just wanting the extra cuddles!

We've never really had to re-sleep train E. She'd get sick, get better, then go back to her usual business. She just had a particularly bad ear infection. She's been on antibiotics for 6 days now (and numbing drops) and her naps have finally gotten back to normal.

But nighttime sleep is sucking. She woke up a lot while sick so we rocked her, sat upright with her, or laid with her and tried to keep her ear propped up. Otherwise she was just miserable.

Well, i think she got used to all the nice warm attention and has been waking up consistently every night for cuddles. I do not think her ears bug her anymore. Last night she kept pointing to the living room and grumbling because that's where she wanted me to take her!. So i set her down in her crib and she protested for probably an hour before going back to sleep at 3am.

So i guess we're technically re sleep training? How do your LOs behave after bad rounds of sicknesses? This kid NEVER used to sleep on/with us and now all of a sudden, I think she's exploiting the opportunity ;) How long did it take to go back to normal? I'm guessing just 2-3 nights?

Unfortunately, she's not sleeping in, either, so I know she's tired. She used to sleep in til about 7 and has been up in the 5 and 6 O'clock hours for weeks now.
