Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child!!! Best book ever. LO is 12 months and I STILL refer to it almost weekly. It's a great resource.

I only read Healthy Sleep Habits and found it to be very useful. Its got great information on sleep facts and getting your child on a routine. It worked really well for me to train my daughter to sleep at night but i didnt find it too helpful for naps. We've been nap training since 3.5 months and even now at 7.5 months, she can only do 1 long nap a day (longer than 30-45 min).

I found the moms on call book to be the most concise and LO has been sleeping through the night since 4 weeks...however it hasnt helped me much with her napping issues. So if its sleeping through the night i highly recommend MOC. If its naps, well, i've got nothin' (ive read babywise twice, just ordered healthy sleep habits, happy child and baby whisperer so well see if that helps)

I loved Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child and The Baby Whisperer! The EASY method really helped me establish a routine.

I'm doing the baby whisperer thing right now for sleep. It's helping for sure.

Do you have a library card? I almost never buy parenting books, it's do hard to know if you want to keep them. I get a ton from the library, and if they don't have it they can often borrow it from another library.

I second the No Cry Sleep Solution, though if I'm honest, my LO has been an amazing nighttime sleeper since birth. We haven't been strict AT ALL about naps (we do aim for a bedtime routine at the same time every night), and after the 6 week growth spurt she naturally fell into a routine. We were loosely following the EASY (Baby Whisperer) routine, but she fell into more of a ESYA routine on her own. Works for us!

I read Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child first and didn't bother with any other books... I absolutely loved it and the methods worked perfectly for Wagon Jr. I got a little obsessive over it but in the end, I totally attribute Wagon Jr.'s fantastic sleep to that book!

I really liked the No Cry Sleep (or Nap) Solution, sounds like it might fit your needs.

I've also heard Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child is really great and I'm waiting for it to come in at the library.

I am looking for recommendations on books pertaining to sleep and sleep training of babies. Our little one is not colicky or fussy (we are lucky!) and it seems like many of the books I've seen are geared towards that. I'm looking for some books that will help me understand how to transition LO to sleeping more at night and when/how to establish a nap schedule for a newborn. I understand all children develop differently and have different needs, but I'm just looking to arm myself with as much knowledge as I can without having to buy 25 books. What book(s) did you find most helpful and in what ways?
