While nursing I had to wear a bra to sleep. Just felt uncomfortable going unsupported. These were my favorite.

I don't know about stretch marks, but in my mind, super heavy boobs with no support will sag more. But my boobs hurt so bad right away when pregnant, that I started wearing a bra to sleep. Then I kept using it because I was worried about the sag. Then I wore a nursing one post pregnancy for all the reasons listed above. The nursing one was so incredibly soft, it was blue canoe - kinda expensive but I needed something and it was all the hospital sold. You could start with a nursing bra to get good use out of one?

I did end up buying one and using it most of my first pregnancy. Definitely did not prevent stretch marks, but I was just a lot more comfortable with it. And it was nice to keep nursing pads in place postpartum, as others have said. :)

I wear Coobies too but I guess anything that looks like that should work! I wear it to sleep too just b/c they get so sore if I don't!

I never used to wear one until I got pregnant. I'd actually prefer not to wear one now, but my boobs are still so sore that keeping them contained helps me feel more comfortable. I have three Coobie bras and I love them!

Yeah, I think that sales lady was just trying to sell you more stuff. It was super uncomfortable for me to sleep without a bra for the first 7-8 months pp. And I leaked a lot so I needed to wear breast pads to bed or I would wake up soaked. I just wore some sports bras that I got at target.

@blackbird: I hate free boobing too! I am uncomfortable in nothing no matter pregnant or not.

I always wear a shelf bra tank to sleep. Contains things just enough. When nursing I also used them to hold in pads.

I do bc the opposite side leaks when nursing (still!). I just have the target ones. They are fine but don't think they would do much to prevent sagging.

Total sales tactic. My boobs grew a fair amount while I was pregnant and I was more comfortable without a sleep bra most of the time. No stretch marks, and whatever slight sagginess is I think from when my milk came in.

I wear a target light sports bra-in an XL, which is basically a shelf bra for me and hardly supportive. But having your boobs unsupported isn't good for the tissue and at my size, I just don't do it. I'm all uncomfortable free boobing

I wore one for some of my pregnancy, when my boobs were SUPER sore. I just wore a cheap cotton 'sports' bra (lol...that did nothing for support) to sleep. It helped with the pain - but I doubt it had anything to do with sagging/stretch marks.

I wear one to keep my nursing pads in place because I had a pretty forceful letdown on both sides while nursing and didn't want soaked pjs, I think the stretch marks/sagging is pretty bogus.

I started sleeping with a soft bra while I was pregnant-- not to prevent sagging or stretch marks, but because my boobs were SO sensitive that my t-shirt rubbing on them was painful. I got a really soft cotton one and it was lovely.

Then I started sleeping in a sleep nursing bra or nursing tanks after C was born, to hold the nursing pads in place. I rarely wear the pads anymore but I like sleeping in a nursing tank since it does feel a bit supportive and it makes feeding the baby easier in the morning. I'm just used to it now.

I do just because I don't like sleeping without one. I got the Bravado sleep bra from Target, and it is heavenly!

I also think that sales lady is full of it!

Do you wear a sleep bra? Why?... and do you like it? The lady at Motherhood Maternity said I need one to prevent sagging and stretch marks. Not sure if I believe that!
