I'm sorry!
Have you tried the bathroom as steam room idea? It really helped us with baby's cold, it helped soothe him to sleep and cleared his congestion a bit.

Tonight is shaping up to be more of the same, so I'm bumping this. I'm about to lose my religion.

It's really icy out here, so i cant go get Vicks yet... so I made a makeshift rub for his feet - a drop of diffused eucalyptus oil mixed with coconut oil. It seems to have given him enough relief that he's not as fussy as yesterday!

@grizz: someone on hb suggested Vicks baby rub to me but I'm not sure if there is an age restriction. Dd didn't seem to like it but lots of people seem to say it helps. We are in the same boat. I managed to get her to sleep a good chunk but by the time I could fall asleep she woke up 2.5 hrs later and she was up more than I could count the rest of the night. We coslept that part. Dh came home this morning and have me an hr of sleep before he went to sleep.

Sounds like you're pretty well stocked!

B is working on his third tooth right now and it's brutal. He seems worse at night so I've been giving him Tylenol before bed and rubbing the organic oragel on his gums. For his first two teeth, his sleep immediately improved once they broke through.

When he had a cold there wasn't much we could do but saline/nosefrida every few hours and lots of snuggles. I hope he feels better soon! I know it has to be breaking your heart!

ohh no! I think you have all the tips we used, but I will say that once the tooth cut or she felt better, her sleep went back to normal. I hope the same goes for you!

we also elevated her crib when she was sick - before she was a moving machine. I put wood under the two posts at the head of her crib so that the mattress wasn't compromised or anything. but now that she's a moving machine, she flips around in the crib and then would end up feet up in the air, so we don't do that anymore. it worked while it lasted!

Maybe try elevating the crib or crib mattress? I hope he feels better! Sick babies are the saddest :(

C was sleeping incredibly well after we did No Cry Sleep Solution. We went from waking every hour to waking only at midnight and 5 am to eat, with perfect naps.

Then along came a budding tooth and a cold. How can we possibly get any rest through either of those things? We were up every hour last night, and I feel so bad for him!

In my arsenal I have a cool mist humidifier, saline drops, a NoseFrida, Motrin, and Hylands teething tabs. Do you have any tips or tricks?
