@BadgerMom: last night he went to bed at 6:15 because he was so worn out. Maybe a consistent early bedtime w hold be better but it sure didn't help last night. He is upset when he wakes up - he stands up and yells. We usually give him a few minutes to see if he settles down, last night he just got more upset until we went in.

@CakeLady: did I actually write this post??? My LO is 15 months old and we got back from vacation on the 15th and he has completely forgotten how to sleep since being back. He will not lay in his crib to fall asleep and besides for a handful of times he wakes up at 2 and then at 4. Last night he woke at midnight, screamed for 20 minutes and wouldn't go back in his crib - I tried for 2 hours! I ended up sleeping in the recliner in his room with him. So basically I have no advice but am here to say your not alone and I'm glad I'm not either. I will be following for anyone else's advise tho bc I'm tired :meh:

Have you tried an earlier bedtime? I'm wondering if the switch to one nap is making him overtired and causing him not to sleep soundly?

Does he wake up upset in the middle of the night? If not, can you leave him to see if he goes back to sleep on his own?

This was our life from 15-17 months. We just chose to wait it out. It passed eventually like these things always do.

DS is 15 months and over the last week his sleep has been getting worse and worse and last night was a complete disaster. He's gone from sleeping through the night (7-5:30... those early wakings are a whole separate problem) to waking once overnight and even earlier in the morning, and last night he woke 10!!!! times. The longest stretch of sleep was 2 hours.

There is a lot going on in his life right now - teething (canines), some separation anxiety (i've been traveling a lot for work lately) and he started in a new daycare room 3 weeks ago and is now on 1 nap during the week.

The whole family is exhausted and barely functional at this point! Is there anything I can do to fix this?
