My LO (now 16 months) has always been a superstar sleeper...nothing changed when we have traveled or upon returning home. I don't know if it's because we have frequently taken her places since she was 10 weeks old, or what. I'm sure you will be fine in a suite...we have often stayed in a normal hotel room and have had to do weird things like hide in the bathroom until LO was asleep or make barriers so she couldn't see us from the bed, but everything went fine :) GL!

We traveled with LO1 when she was 8 months. She had a seperate space that was very dark. She slept really well - she napped longer than when she was at home and she slept through the night just like at home.

We traveled to visit my family when DS was 7 months old. The biggest suggestion I can make is to try to keep the nighttime routine as close as you can to how you would do it at home. DS was a great sleeper before and continued to do great throughout the trip.

Good luck!!!

We traveled at 9 months, and the situation was similar to yours - separate space, and we used his pack n play and white noise. As long as we stuck to his bedtime routine, he did just fine at night. The only hiccup we had was the first night the air went on the blitz and it got too cold, so he had to sleep with us to huddle for warmth!

No need to sleep train once we got back home and the other nights he slept great. Have fun!

We went on a long wknd trip when DS was 7.5 months old. He slept like crap the first night, then better the next night but still woke up a couple of times.

A month later, we did a week long trip (with a 2 hour flight). He napped through the flight and slept amazingly well the entire week there. His usual 13 hours, plus good naps! :) Also slept fine on the plane ride back. He slept in a pnp, we brought our marpac, video cam, his blankies, etc. Did the night time routine just like at home!

:goodluck:

We're headed out of town soon for almost a week. I'm already obsessed with LO's sleep and am completely nervous about sleep being ruined. He's been sttn for about 3-4 months now. I'm bringing pretty much everything from home to try to recreate his sleep environment: white noise, books, sleep sack, etc. We'll be in a suite so he'll have his own space.
Any other tips? AND: Did anyone's good sleeper remain a good sleeper during traveling? Need to hear success stories! OR: Did your good sleeper not do so well during your trip? How long did it take to get back to normal once home? Did you have to sleep train to get back to sttn?

Help me calm down!
