T is only in daycare 8 hours a week, so a few thoughts fwiw. She bottle refuses but will take pouches and has recently learned how to drink milk and water out of a straw. She's 9 months.

Sounds like a classic case of reverse cycling and is pretty common for babies who aren't keen on the bottle. Please don't think you've broken your baby or committed a terrible parenting sin, it's just your baby adapting and keeping herself close to you.

Have you thought about bed sharing on a more permanent basis or offering LO milk in a cup or sippy during the day? Hang in there, Mama, you're doing great!

I am so sorry ((hugs)) this was my fear when I want back to work at DD would not take a bottle. She was eating solids and also FINALLLY took to a straw cup and was a champ with that in no time! Give it a try couldn't hurt!

My sitter also mixed Oz's of milk with her carrots, cereal..etc to get it in.

How is she doing with solids? If she's not taking much from the bottle, maybe her caregivers can try ramping up her solids intake during the day, so she's not reverse cycling?

So I have developed a bad habit for my daughter's sleep the past 6 months. She breastfeeds when I'm home, and fights drinking form the bottle when I'm at work. Because she doesn't eat much during the day, she makes up by nursing 5-6 times most nights. Around 2 am I give up and bring her to bed with me so she can nurse while I doze. I'm exhausted! Being breastfed, I understand why she wants to nurse 1-2x a night, but I think she's doing it more for comfort now. How do I get her to sleep longer? I don't want to do CIO either because I'm afraid it would wake up my son
