Apparently posting about it was the solution! LO slept 7.5 hours straight last night...a record in this house!

@redsmarties: I don't have any advice but I sympathize- our LO will be 7 months at the end of the week. We are going on week 2 of crap sleep. Others have offered advice that LO may be ready to add a second meal. During rough sleep weeks, I constantly repeat to myself - this too shall pass it won't be like this for long. Good luck!!

We went through a 7-month regression. She went from being a great sleeper to suddenly waking up constantly. At the time she had just learned to crawl (right before turning 7- months) and then obsessively was cruising. She would cruise her crib in the middle of the night and cry. It lasted about two weeks and suddenly everything was fine again. Hopefully this stops for you soon!

@rahlyrah: Interesting. Her bottom teeth were the easy ones...its totally possible that the top are causing her problems.

She crawls, sits, etc...can't think of any other milestone she might be working on. But I'll keep an eye out.

@rahlyrah: Yes! Crawling! That was another awful sleep regression/milestone!

B didn't have any sleep interruptions with his bottom teeth but had a difficult time when his top teeth came in. Maybe that could be it?

Or is it possible that she is about to crawl or some other milestone?

@redsmarties: Girl, I feel your pain. I feel like we're always going through sleep regressions that could be attributed to teething, wonder weeks, illness, or a milestone. I want to say around that age, we were going through rolling, sitting up, or standing in the crib. She'd do it and couldn't get back to sleep. Is your LO going through any of that? Hang in there… Seems like it was always about 2 weeks long for each thing.

LO has been a decent sleeper...since we started sleep training at 6 months, she has slept 7-8:30 with two wake ups to eat. Naps are anywhere from 40 min - 2 hours, depending on the day.

For the last three nights, she has woken up at least five times - wants to nurse, is clingy, and has a tough time staying in her own crib. Today, naps have been HELL - 1+hours of crying to get her to sleep for 30 minutes.

Is there a 7 month sleep regression, or is there something else going on? (she has 2 teeth, experienced NOTHING like this before. Also, is just recently over a cold)
