@Mrs.M57: I can totally relate with what you are going through. I wasn't going to CIO until I literally couldn't bare the zero sleep I was getting. The first night really sucked, but so far Day 2 was awesome and from what I've heard from other mom's esp on HB, it gets better and some babies are trained even as soon as DAY 4 and def by WEEK 1!

@clementine hmm that gives me some encouragement, thanks! I think I may wait until she hits 4 months, but it helps to hear that it wasn't so bad for you!

@Mrs.M57: Is your baby waking up to eat? Mine had a couple days in a row recently of waking up in the night, but he was chowing down big time, so I think it's a 3.5 month growth spurt. Is your baby too cold or too hot? That's the other reason he has woken up at unusual times for me.

@Mrs.M57: I was just like you and seriously, Day 2 was awesome. He cried for 13 mins and slept from 7:05 pm to 2 am (which he used to do pre-4 mos sleep regression) then I fed him and he slept until 6:30 am. Knowing what I know, I wish I had done it sooner!

I'm dreading starting CIO, but I'm thinking we may need to soon if this continues, last night was awful :-( sleep deprivation is taking a toll on all of us!

I regret not sleep training earlier at the 4 mos mark when my son's sleep started regressing very badly. I feel like 5 mos was too late. He's 5 mos now and literally it's day 2 of CIO.

So I think LO may have hit the 4 month sleep regression. She's only 3 months 2 weeks, but for the past 5-6 days she has gone from sleeping 1 solid 7 hour shift followed by another 2 shorter 1-3 hour shifts to now sleeping 1 shift of 3-4 hours at the most and then up every hour until about 5 am when she comes to bed with me and sleeps for a max of 3 hours. Bah it's super frustrating not to mention exhausting! I don't think she is ready for(nor am I!) CIO. Any support or advice?
