@Coco Bee: maybe it's because I'm not a softie but I think it wold be easier on both you and DS if you killed two birds with one stone. Then you won't have to go through all of the crying twice, kwim?

That's what we did with our DS who is also 3 months...one night he had an early nightwaking and we knew he wasn't hungry. DH went to console him and moved him from the bassinet to the crib. So that night we got him to fall asleep on his own in his crib in one fell swoop. Again, I am not a huge softie but I am all for less pain and suffering for everyone!

@Coco Bee: that was me last night (with tears... Urgh low moment). One thing that popped into my head was sleep begets more sleep. She had really good naps today so I think that helped.
Just keep with it mama, we're here for you.

@Coco Bee: I've been thinking about you tonight!! I think it's a good idea to do one thing at a time and work on learning to sleep in his bed.

Keep at it, last night was horrible, tonight is better.

@prettylizy: Oh I hope so too! I decided it was unfair of me to transition DS from our bed at the same time we're trying to hav him fall asleep on his own. So we've deided to give him a week or two of leaning to sleep in his bed first before we attempt tO have him fall asleep on his own. So I'm rocking him to sleep.

I hope it doesn't backfire!! I'm glad she is soothed when you go in, my LO just looks so hurt to me!!

Well tonight was night two of our sleep routine and LO is currently in her crib. She's been in there for 30 minutes and is pretty close to sleep. I've had to pop in a few times to give her back her soother, but each time she is less frantic! I'm hoping this is the beginning of a good thing.
