I second the ones with the openings for the feet...Halo makes them, they are the early walker line. They look ridiculous, but my son LOVED them and they were a sleep cue for him for a long time!

It's harder when the sleep sacks are too big. It's less restrictive when you follow the sack sizing. Previously, DD could stand up, walk around without any problems when we had her in a smaller sack. She's had a little more trouble in this XL sack (banged her head a few times) but she's pretty comfortable when sleeping.

olive still uses one at 2 and charlie did too and we never had any problems. they liked their sleep sacks as kind of loveys. you could try the ones that have feet? might be easier to move in them.

She stopped using them at a year. They seemed to just make her angry. We just let her use her crib comforter and she loves that thing. She soothes herself by chewing on the corners.

I have wondered about this. So far R can still get all over the crib with it but I really don't want her using them now that she is standing in the crib. Makes me too nervous. But I am scared to try and not use them again, last time it failed. I think it is such a sleep cure for her. Since she uses them at day care too.

@MamaMoose: What did you switch to for the fall? I am thinking a cotton footed sleeper would work until it gets a little cooler? She has been wearing a long-sleeved onesie with an A+A single layer sleep sack.

Yup. M would sometimes get kind of tangled and annoyed so I just quit using them.

So, I think I am going to stop using sleep sacks. LO is 13 months, and I have noticed that sometimes it seems like the sleep sack prevents her from being able to more easily toss around and get back into a comfortable position. Anyone else notice/ do the same thing?
