Halo makes cotton (and organic cotton) and fleece. I hardly used the fleece one at all over the winter because I was paranoid about overheating. My sister used them on her kids until they were about 3 (they make ones with foot holes once they walk) and thought they were fantastic. She keeps one arm out so that she can suck on her hand, but she's still partially swaddled and warm. Plus with this one, we can eventually let both arms out but swaddled her around body. They keep her warm and I don't have to worry about suffocation (by using a blanket?), her legs don't get trapped in between the slats of her crib, and it's harder for her to crawl around or stand up (she still can, it's just harder).
