I'm sorry. Sleep problems are so hard. What is it - does she wake up multiple times, or get up early? Is she upset when she wakes? Is she tired during the day? Are there health conditions that could be contributing?

Also, if you work... I wonder if taking a sick day and napping while she's not home will help you. Just as a stopgap while you're still working on helping her sleep...

I am taking my 3 year old to a sleep specialist in two weeks and I'm wondering if anyone has been through this and can offer suggestions on what to expect or things that might be helpful to have prepared. I feel like we've tried all the things and we're at a breaking point. I'm so tired that it frequently feels unsafe, and I almost always feel like I'm actually going crazy.

We haven't tried oils or melatonin (she falls asleep just fine) but I may try each before we go just as data points. Anything else? We've definitely tried all the normal basics.
