@Mamadee: I'm sorry; baby sleep is stressful! If you're wanting to change something, ending the nurse to sleep association might help. By that age, some babies then wake up and need to nurse again to fall back asleep. We had good luck with No Cry Sleep Solution (but for rocking to sleep, not nursing) at that age to help him learn to put himself to sleep.

I bought the Ferber book a couple weeks ago and was able to read most of it but pretty much can't get myself to sleep train lo. He's 6 months old and dh and I have tried to let him CIO a little but the cries only escalate instead of stop. One night we let him cry for an hour with checks and by the end he was quietly sobbing. I broke down and couldn't do it anymore. So I bought a book but still can't bring myself to sleep train.

He wakes up 2-3 times a night on a good day and upwards of 6 when it's bad (usually due to illness or teething). We have a bedtime routine and I nurse him to sleep every night. He always falls asleep without fuss and snuggles right up to me. I love this time even though I'm slightly sleep deprived. Am I doing this all wrong? Or am I over analyzing baby sleep?

it will eventually get better?
