The longest might be 15 minutes and I wanted to pull my hair out. The cries are 100x louder when they are a few steps away from you! I usually give it 20 minutes. If she is just fussy or whining, then I will still wait. If after 20 minutes she is full on crying, then I go in her room. She usually never starts out full on crying.
