For naps I've started loosely swaddling her with an A&A blanket so she can break out, and putting her down still slightly awake. She fusses and cries a bit and usually falls asleep within 10 minutes.

At night we use a Halo Swaddle but she almost always breaks out (always has, since day 1). She's getting harder and harder to get to sleep so I want to sleep train soon

@kylahnzoesmommy: We started early - 3 months. But our little guy was a Terrible sleeper and we were all going a little crazy so it was definitely time to do something about it. It's only been 2 weeks since we started sleep training and his sleep is not perfect by any means but it's so much better than it was.

We weaned from the swaddle - one arm out - then he was rolling onto his side in his sleep so we quit cold turkey. This was right at 4 months. We haven't sleep trained per se, but I'm more comfortable letting him cry for periods of time now that he's arms out.

We weaned the swaddle (one arm out, then both arms out, then completely off) about 2 weeks before we started sleep training. We wanted to make sure he could self-soothe by sucking on his hands. I know people who have sleep trained with the swaddle still on, though.

When you sleep train are you swaddling? Im assuming not because how else would LO self soothe? Do you swaddle when you started putting LO down "drowsy but awake?"
