We're retraining our 7 month old starting tonight! He was STTN, but we had a few weeks of problems with his reflux meds, so I got in the habit of nursing him all night again. Poor kid went to bed just fine at 7, but is awake screaming now.

@schubr03: Is she eating at night?

I have no idea about the paci. She's not super dependent on it so I might let her fuss about it longer. Right now DD1 and DD2 are both sleeping in our room since their rooms are being painted so I can't let the baby fuss because it might wake up big sister. The baby goes to bed first thankfully.

Hi! I feel like we have been in the process of sleep training for 2 months. We started the CIO method at 7 months to get her to fall asleep on her own. That was successful, but we still cannot get rid of night wakings! She is waking 2-3 times a night. I have no idea what to do to get rid of those! Ped just says they will "hopefully go away in their own." Okay....but WHEN?! Mama needs some sleep!

@AggieDaze: we are making some progress. I'm hesitant to jinx anything but we are down to her putting herself to sleep in about 10-20 minutes after we leave with minimal fussing so I'm calling it a win. It did take longer than it did with her sister. This LO still wakes up looking for her paci 1-2 times a night but I just pop it back in and we both go back to sleep. Will probably start trying to do something about that next.

I'll be here in about a month. My 3 month old is still getting up 3-4x a night. We sleep trained my 3 year old at 9 months which was way too late. Once I get the okay from my ped at DS's 4 month appt, sleep training here we come!

@Finfan: Yeah we did with DS at 10 months and it was great. He was a bad bad sleeper (still getting up 4-5 times a night). DD (11 months) is for the most part good sleeper, she normally gets up 0-2 times (normally 2) and so we keep putting it off because she is sick or teething or whatever but she was up 3 times last night and wanted to get up at 4:30. I need to just bite the bullet but just haven't yet. It worked super quick for DS, I can see sis not being that way.

@jetsa: I finally got sick of not having any alone time with DH at night. It's taken longer for DD2 but DD1 was so fast about it.

Thanks! Last night was the first night she fell asleep in under 15 minutes and no crying. We have our nephew staying here for a few nights during spring break so his parents can get some work done on their house and I was worried she would cry and cry.
