@FaithFertility: that's a good idea! She does go to sleep in her crib at first. Maybe if I put in some toys she likes she'll be ok staying there longer! I'll have to try a few and see if that works.

@travellingbee: thanks, I like this idea too! I did something similar with DS (though he was older, maybe 9 months) when nursing to sleep stopped working. But he only woke up at night if he had bad teething pain, so I only had to deal with getting him to bed once.

We used sleep lady shuffle with moderate success. Our kid is difficult in general so I could see it working easier with a less stubborn child.

DD really didn't like cosleeping she would nap in the bed with us or pass out after nursing for a little bit more but she did he same kicked me and such, she moves a lot sleeping and I think like a her space!

Also at 6 months she still woke 1-2x and I alwaysed nurrsed her to sleep, she started to go longer on her own!

I know that doesn't happen for all, but it can!
Maybe if you want to try something keep her in her crib at least so maybe she will sleep past that 5 a.m. mark?!

Is there such a thing? How does it work?

DD is six months and can sleep through the night, but doesn't. She goes to bed in her crib around 9 pm, wakes two or three times at night to nurse, hangs out in our bed using me as a pacifier, and now has a new thing - she starts kicking me and screaming around 5 am and can go on like this for an hour or two till it's time to get up. I get it, she's teething and just got over a cold... but I don't think she's developing good habits, and judging by the screaming, cosleeping isn't comforting her much any more.

I think it's time for sleep training, except we live in a small apartment, and if she screams in the middle of the night she will keep everyone awake. Suggestions?
