I agree-- throw all sleep disciplines out the window when they are sick!! </p> <p>I read something in a sleep book about the whole standing position thing... one mom suggested to put them into the crib standing. That way they have nowhere else to go but down. She stands up and cries after we put her in the crib...on Saturday she cried for 42 minutes, Sun 29 minutes and 50 minutes last night. I save her because it doesn't sound like she will stop crying....she gets really worked up and is soaked in sweat and tears. :-( I'll change her into new jammies and sleep sack, hold her for a few minutes, she falls asleep and is out for the night. </p> <p>Should I just let her cry longer? I don't want to get into the routine of holding her while she falls asleep. </p>
