oh nooooooo not one of my favorite cuties. poor baby girl. I agree-- throw all sleep disciplines out the window when they are sick!!

I read something in a sleep book about the whole standing position thing... one mom suggested to put them into the crib standing. That way they have nowhere else to go but down. It made sense to me (how can they be upset about standing up if they went in standing up? they can only then lie down....) but didn't work for Wagon Jr. hehe.

olive's sleep has been rocky the past month due to sickness and her standing in her crib. what i've been doing is putting my hand on her back until she falls asleep. that may not work for every baby, but it works really well for olive most of the time.

hope she feels better! you can worry about her sleep when she's feeling better.

:( hope she feels better!

DS did this too, not for very long but enough to get hiccups from the crying. It was around the time he started standing.

@autumnlove: I saw that pic on IG omg soooo sad!!! seriously you have the cutest little girl... I totally want to steal her (in a totally non-kidnapperish way!)..

one of my friends just went through this - her daughter would stand in the crib and she couldn't figure out how to lower herself back down so she would scream and cry and skip naps... is your DD getting stuck?

My LO has always fallen asleep fairly quickly...she might fuss for a minute or two on her back or tummy then she is out for the night.

Things have changed ever since she started pulling herself up to a standing position. She stands up and cries after we put her in the crib...on Saturday she cried for 42 minutes, Sun 29 minutes and 50 minutes last night. I save her because it doesn't sound like she will stop crying....she gets really worked up and is soaked in sweat and tears. :-( I'll change her into new jammies and sleep sack, hold her for a few minutes, she falls asleep and is out for the night.

Should I just let her cry longer? I don't want to get into the routine of holding her while she falls asleep.
