My guy is like this too but he naps TERRIBLY at daycare. So it makes me think that between the crappy naps and the constant stimulation all day long, hes just worn out. When he's home with me or both of us, he naps well and its a lot calmer. Been trying to get sleep to be more consistent too but I havent figured it out yet.

Another vote for being worn out from stimulation. Maybe try more tummy time/toy time or a long, stimulating walk in the stroller?

Maybe he's more stimulated there (so much to see, I'm sure) so he's more tired?

That really is a confusing pattern!
Could he eat more during daycare days so he is less hungry at night? Otherwise he might just be way more exhausted during daycare days. The noise of action of other kids usually really powered my kids out when they were still this young.

Hope you find a way to replicate!

I'm so confused. My nearly 5 month old seems to fluctuate his sleep based on his days in daycare and I can't figure out how to replicate the good night sleep on the weekends.

Lo2 goes to daycare 3 days a week. On those days, he takes 3-5 naps that are between 20 and 50 minutes each. Schedule fluctuates but he generally gets a 5-10 minute car nap around 5:30. On those nights, he goes to bed at 7/7:30, sleeps until 2, feeds and then sleeps until 5:30 - some days he'll feed back to sleep and other days he's up for the day.

On his days home, he takes 3 naps - typically 2, 45 minute and 1, 1,5-2 hour. But here's the rub... On his nights home, he wakes up between 2 and 4 times - this far Sunday night was 10:45 (fed back to aleep), 2 (husband put back to sleep) and 3 (fed back to sleep).

I'm so frustrated and confused! LO1 lived out the mantra "sleep begets sleep" his nights after daycare were terrible because he got ao little sleep. Eventually we sleep trained and that helped naps and nighttime.

I just can't figure this guy out... Why does he sleep worse after a good schedule of daytime naps??
