OK so quick update! I had a work trip last week for 4 nights and came home with a wicked cold. It appears that the babies have night weaned and started sleeping through at this point. I am afraid to point it out that we will hit a regression but we'll see.

@junebugmama: Me too!
At 18 months she started doing it. Not all of the time, but enough to make me get some sweet, sweet z's.
People can be so judgey about our little non-sleepers, but they do it when they are ready.

At 18 months I have gotten 6 total nights of STTN and they were over the last 2 weeks. It's totally normal. I feel like my guy will sleep through the night when he's developmentally ready. (although I do secretly hope it's before this next baby is here in May ;) )

What cuties!

My 15 month old STTN every now and then, but most nights still wakes up 1-2 times. It'd be great for him to STTN every night, but I figure, eventually he'll do it. This part is very temporary.

My 11 month old varies between one easy wake up for a feeding, and many miserable wake ups. I think it would be easier to handle if she didn't start sleeping through the night (9pm to 7am) when she was six weeks old and continue that was until she was 4 months. It was such a tease!!

Thanks all for the comments on the twins. We usually separate them with a pillow until we go to sleep but one night we found them like this.

@mediagirl: I agree. I will love the sleep but I will not get as much "time" when they sleep through the night.

@T-Mom: we co-sleep so at least no one sleeps on the floor. I feel for you

@leelee: I still nurse and I think they wake up for me to make sure mamma is still there and while they are at it why not take as few sips of milk

@mrskc: we have some days with 2-3 wake ups and others with more and that is x2.

That pic is just so precious. My son is 13 months and wakes up frequently through out the night. Probably on average 3-4 times. I have hope that someday he will sleep through the night. It is definitely nice to know you're not alone. :heart:

DD is almost 17 months and still wakes up at least 1-2 times a night. We tried to let her CIO but she is very stubborn and will cry for hours if she has to. Much easier to just set her back down and have her go to sleep within minutes than listen to her cry for who knows how long. She has no issues falling asleep on her own but I really do think she is walking up from hunger.

I love how they are snuggled up against each other! So cute! My kids have alternated between being wonderful sleepers and horrible ones. I slept on my 26 month old's floor last night, if it's any consolation. I woke up thinking it was 2 am and that he had finally gone into a deep sleep.. crept back to my bed and realized it was already 5:30 and my DH was up getting ready for work. argh!

@Ms.SK: Solidarity, mama. First, this picture is freaking adorable. Second, my daughter has sttn maybe 5 times in her 17 months of life. But you know what? I get so little time with her during the week that I don't hate that she needs me in the middle of the night still. I like our quiet little snuggle time.

Cuties! My LO is 13 months and wakes up at least twice. Last night it seemed like every hour. Oh wellz! Most nights are better than that and she doesn't stay awake for long. I miss sleep.

I make it a habit to not complain! There is another side to this sleep thing and if you are in my boat you might need to know that your babie(s) are also normal if they don't sleep through the night. At 16 months with the twins each have had a total of 2 nights where they slept through the night (meaning 6hours+). I think that they are normal and this to shall pass. I may not miss this stage but it will pass. Join the conversation if you are in the same boat so other Mom's (and Dad's) like us know it's ok.
