It was a big deal for us, but my son was 2.5 when he had to go to sleep at daycare. It's been about 3 weeks and he's just now sleeping about 2 hours a day.

They transitioned her right at a year and she did fine. She actually naps better at daycare on the cot then she does at home in her crib. I send a sheet and a heavier blanket (the a/c at daycare can be cold).

It wasn't a big deal for us. Daycare wouldn't let us use sleep sacks after she could pull herself up to stand so we brought in a blanket for her to use but she still used a sleep sack at home.

LO is 1 year and 9 months and still sleeps really well using sleep sacks. At daycare she is still being napped in a crib with a sleep sack but starting next week, daycare is transitioning her to a cot with a blanket with all the other toddlers.

Does anyone have any experience with such a transition? Is it a big deal?
