My tiny girl was always a very slow gainer. At 23 months she weighs 21 pounds! Are you overly large? If not, I'd assume you've just got a littler kid on your hands.

@Pepper: you can always go in for a weight check if you're worried. But I wouldn't trust the accuracy of different scales.

My daughter is gaining about 1 lb every two months now. She was in the 14th percentile at her 6 month appointment. She's now 8 months and is 15lbs 2oz. I'm not worried, she is thriving and happy, meets milestones and PLENTY of wet and poopy diapers.

Thanks! I guess I'm just nervous because he was already in the 20th percentile for weight at his 1 month checkup (although he was 80th percentile for height). I guess as long as the diapers are still wet/dirty I won't worry.

I don't think you need to call - every babys different, and like @oliviaoblivia: said, he may have grown in inches and weight will catch up, or he'll gain more next week and it'll average out. I think it's better to track over time, not week to week, especially if diapers are good. If you notice weight is stalling, then maybe call and see what the dr says.

Hurmm.. I wouldn't be too concerned if I were you.
My son gained about 2.25 pounds in 2.5 months.

Different scales can be off. Our LC scale was off of our ped's scale by six ounces. I really don't think LO gained six ounces between 4pm Thursday and 9am Friday.
A difference like that could make up the missing ounces. Also, if your LO pooped after he was weighed at your LC it could account for a couple inches.
Our ped was always very specific about the importance of enough diapers over the scale.

I just weighed LO tonight, after I changed his diaper, and he weighed 9 lbs 12.5 oz. At his pediatrician appointment 2 weeks ago he was 9 lbs 7 oz. Kellymom says they should gain 5-7 oz a week, so is it concerning that he has only gained 5 oz in two weeks? He has a ton of wet and poopy diapers. I'm not sure if I should call the pediatrician or if that's normal for breastfed babies.
