@prettylizy: sounds like having the ties cut will definitely help your LO to better transfer milk!

@Kemma: she is 5 weeks. We're going based on the WHO guidelines not FF baby ones, my midwife is ver pro BF. Dd only gained 2ozs in the last two weeks. The kicker is my supply is AMPLE, I have so so so much milk. She has always been a super lazy eater and only eats just enough not to feel hungry. I'm hopeful that the frenulectomy will help speed things up. If we don't have much success on our weigh in next week I'll be calling in an IBCLC

@prettylizy: how old is your LO? Having the ties cut could definitely make a world of difference with both your supply and baby's weight gain! Have you seen an IBCLC to get some advice?

We had the same thing happen. DD had the lazer treatment for a posterior tongue tie and a lip tie. She was a slow gainer. Eventually she took off. It made a huge difference. She was able to latch properly and my milk supply had a chance to bump up. BF babies I find all vary in weight gaining. The charts the DR.s use to compare are for formula fed babies. BF babies don't gain as much/or as fast. As long as you LO is eating and striving then that's all that matters.

So DD2 hasn't been gaining weight for the last two weeks. I've been feeding her on demand and obviously it's not working. Ugh, I'm a giant ball of stress and now I have to wake her every two hours plus top her up after every feed with pumped milk. On top of this we had a lip and tongue tie released today (thinking that might be why she is having eating troubles) so I just feel bad for her! No real point to this, just venting my stress
