We have small toys, toys that tuck away easily and also a couple toys that sit out but kind of blend in with the house. For example, DS has a “large” Grimm’s Rainbow Stacker in our living room and it’s such a cool piece that it’s not like having a toy kitchen. Same could go with the Grimm towers and blocks. His Little Tykes pushcar has been a hit for the last 13 months. It’s his biggest toy but it tucks away. He rides it around our little space, though you might not want to assume that it “fits” for their home and lifestyle without asking. Music and books are equally able to be tucked away! Ours are a pretty basic amazon set - they don't need to be crazy expensive. They're obnoxious because they sing and light up, but they have an off-switch and the kiddo went crazy for them and still plays with them all the time.
