i actually read somewhere about one woman's experience where blood came out from one of her ducts--nothing was wrong, apparently it just happened. it sounds pretty unusual though--has it happened more than once?

Oh no! I have no ideas, but I will say use whichever is the most comfortable. I use one 24 and one 27 just because of comfort. They both pull most Areola inside the tube, but it's not the part that moving (if that makes sense).

So I got 21 mm breastshields b/c the 24 mm were pulling my entire areola into the tunnel. And my output was the same in 20 min vs 1/2 hour - but I noticed some blood in my breastmilk. I can't see any sore spots on my nipples where it might have come from - any ideas??
