@winniebee: There are a few brands but not sure how natural they are: Bolthouse, Naked and now yoplait has them in the freezer section...there is another brand that just came out with them too, but again, not sure how good they are.

We have the playtex straw cups and they didn't work so great. I didn't attach the value part and just froze the smoothie in the cup. It took a while to melt and she drank it that way.

At age 2, LO loves watching me make smoothies. I now let him drink it out of a regular cup (no lid) with a straw, but I watch him pretty carefully. The take and toss straw cups were too narrow to really work for smoothies. I tend to do fruit and kefir and try to toss in some greens if they're handy.

I was thinking about smoothies too! We don't have a blender though...I wonder if there is a good store bought kind...

I agree with the take and toss cups, LO only drinks water out of them but they have a good straw for smoothies.

I notice a lot of parents give their kids smoothies for breakfast.

If you do, what does your LO drink it in? I was thinking of sending one to daycare but I feel like most straw cups are too thin.
