@MrsADS: Have you tried tortilla? Even the whole wheat ones are dairy/soy/nut free I believe.

@LulaBee: Mine was super limited until about 11 months when she started eating a lot more table foods.
One thing that works for us to get her to try things is to put it on our plates and eat it - that always gets her interested!

@lulabee my 12mo won't eat a lot of stuff listed here either. We also have a dairy/soy/nut allergy which super limits what we can do. Basically he eats cheerios and puffs, oatmeal, meat (which he loves, if it's soft enough), fruit, carrots and green beans, potato and sweet potato sometimes. Maybe smashed beans, too. And egg although he's not super into it.

But yeah, i have tried waffles and toast (with safe bread for him), he doesn't like them. I tried pasta and avocado again tonight- nope.

I am really out of ideas! He usually has a fruit and veggie pouch every day too.

@hellobeeboston: @Dahlia: @Hoots: @erinbaderin: @Bluebonnet: @Mrsbells: Thanks guys! So many good ideas! I'm eager to grocery shop.

@LulaBee: Nothing wrong with naturally red food... my LO just won't eat it. Strawberries, tomatoes, watermelon, beets... she refuses to eat it! She eats everything else.

This thread is making me feel like my 9 month old has a very limited palate.....

So they aren't supposed to have red food?? She's already got an egg allergy.

I send her yogurt, pouches, cheese, green beans, black beans, white beans, puffs.

Check out Weelicious.com - lots of kid friendly recipes. many of their recipes are put in mini muffin pans or are made into pancakes - very easy for kids (with or without teeth) to eat.

Some of the things I send with my nine month old with two bottom teeth are:

Tomatoes (yes, this is red but she loves them)
Avocado slices
Hard boiled egg chunks
Melon slices
Kiwi slices
Mandarin oranges
Pasta
Babybel cheese chunks
Toast (a bunch of different kids, all of which she eats surprisingly well)
grilled cheese
Peach slices
Cucumber slices
Puffs
Yogurt melts
diced potato
green beans
Waffles

So pretty much anything that's soft-ish and that I can chunk or slice.

My one year old has almost all her teeth (!) but here are some ideas. Honestly, we don't really distinguish snack food from regular food, so I'd probably just give LO leftovers (pasta, quesadilla, etc.).

Scrambled Egg
Pancakes/Waffles
Mini muffins
Sliced turkey
Beans (squished slightly)
Avocado chunks

Can you get pouch flavors other than applesauce where you are? We do a lot of those as snack so she gets veggies and can eat on the go if we're out and about. Some have yogurt, too, which might be good.

My almost 11 month old loves food and his bottom two teeth look just about to cut through, so technically no teeth yet! Here's what he likes:

Cheerios
Veggie burgers
Cucumbers (mostly just gnaws them)
Broccoli
White cheddar baked Cheetos
Mini pancakes
Blueberries
Tofu
Bananas
Pumpernickel bread with cream cheese
Beans

We also do lots of pouches all different flavors.

We do leftovers for snacks too

DD's is transitioning to the one year old room at daycare, which has a schedule that involves two snacktimes. I am struggling to figure out snacks for her partially because she only has one tooth and can't really bite or chew too well. I figure I would want to give her one savory snack and one sweet snack. They also have to be foods she can feed herself, and right now she can't use a utensil too well so I would prefer finger foods. Here are my ideas so far:

Savory:
Shredded cheese
Sauteed veggies
Crackers/Lil Crunchies/Lil Beanies/etc.
Hard boiled egg

Sweet:
Cut up fruit
Applesauce pouch
Cereal bar

Please help! She eats almost anything (except red food...) but I can't think of many snack ideas.
