After having replied to this thread, DH didn't snore much, but the dog was so bad that I hauled his crate into the nursery and left him there (LO sleeps with us). I feel bad because he cries in the morning when he wakes up and isn't with us, but I had to get some sleep!

I feel like DH snores so severely!! Dd is in our room in crib and his snoring frequently wakes her up. He's put on some weight and if he's been drinking it will be extra severe and loud. It freaks me out too that he snores badly even on his side. Nose strips helps some.

Another victim here! We don't have a guest room for him or me to retreat to and he refuses to sleep on the sofa so I'm stuck with it. Although the couple of times he has fallen asleep on the sofa at night he has woken me on the next floor anyway. I'm a light sleeper and his snoring is loud. I'm so anxious he's going to wake DD in the next room.

@SIMPLYFELICITY: what surgery did he have done? my DH was told he needed a sinus surgery years ago but hasn't done anything since. His snoring isn't too bad most nights, but he is always stuffy and his ears are always plugged up

YES. My husband did the sleep study years ago. He has sleep apnea and he's barely used his cpap since receiving it. His suggestion is that I wear ear plugs. I could smack him!
My BIL did his post-doc in cardiology and has lectured my husband many times on how bad untreated sleep apnea is for you. Falls on deaf ears.
Once in a while I record him on the really bad nights and play it back the next day. We usually get a chuckle out of how ridiculous it is, but it temporarily makes him understand why it's so bad. He wears his cpap a few nights and then it collects dust for another 6 months.

Long story short: I feel your pain!!!

I'm another whose SO's weight is up and is snoring much worse. I usually kick him to the floor bed in L's room if he doesn't stop when I poke him. It's SO irritating, even though I know he's not doing it on purpose!

When we visited Denver recently, he didn't snore at all, and when we lived there it was definitely not as bad. It's super dry there, and absurdly humid there, so I'm trying to convince him to get a dehumidifier. Even if it didn't work, it would help me with my cookies!

Also, my 11lb dog does snore as bad as him or worse. Also new to moving here. So annoying when they're on either side of me snoring away!

My husband had a sleep study and met with an ENT and would essentially need two surgeries to stop snoring. So he sleeps on the couch. I'd rather have a good night's sleep without him than suffer just so I can sleep next to him.

Yes, this has been a problem lately since my husband has gained weight. I actually have a very loud room air conditioner in our bedroom tha I turn on to drown him out. Even though it's November! I try to nudge him or kick him but he usually ignores me and doesn't change positions. Drives me crazy!!

@winniebee: Ditto. When my DH's weight is up his snoring gets so much worse.

I am constantly kicking the dog out for snoring and then making a huge racket in order to wake my husband up so he'll stop. Ugh.

DH used to snore so badly but had surgery this summer to correct it...poor guy had a pretty bad recovery (while I was very pregnant.) Now, our 5 lb Yorkie snores louder.

DH snores something awful and finally took the take home test because he was exhausted

He didn't have apnea and hasn't done anything since... (He should have followed up to see why the snoring was so bad)

This is timely. My husband has to lose some weight and snoring is a side effect.

I bought my husband breathe right strips and he used one last night. The first night he hasn't kept me up snoring in ages. Snoring and a night waking baby is just so bad!

Typically i go to he guest room when he wakes me up snoring. Hopefully this helps!

My hubby has BAD sleep apnea and refuses to wear his cpap because it hurts his nose. I usually just go to our guest room but, because of my shoulder injury, it's not an option, so I've been kicking him out. OR, when the girls were still waking at night, I would make a lot of noise so he would wake up and stop snoring long enough for me to get back to sleep.

ohhhh it makes me so stabby! especially when I'm up with one (or both) kids and can hear him snoring away..

I keep trying to make him do a sleep study but he won't. a local place supposedly does at-home ones, but that would be the day he'd ever sleep with a CPAP thing on...gah.

anyone else deal with this? does your SO (or you!) wear a CPAP machine?
