If he isn't too loud I nudge, tap, or change positions, which always gets him to move in the other direction. If he is loud I tell him and he wakes then stops. If he is especially loud and nothing seems to work I go to the guest room.

DH already gets up way earlier than me and turns on all the lights and sometimes is very needy: ironing his clothes, finding specific socks, packing his breakfast on the go etc, so I need to maximize the time I am asleep.

I tap him and tell him to roll to his right side because that's the only side he doesn't snore on.

My DH will snore extra loudly on his stomach or back. All night I tell him to "roll over!" He usually listens except it takes a few times telling and nudging him to move. When he complains that I'm waking him up I remind him who is up half the night feeding and taking care of our daughter!

I reposition myself and attempt to sleep through it, waking him rarely works. He sleeps through just about everything. If its particularly bad, I just move to the couch. That's been more comfortable lately anyway.

I nudge DH and tell him he's snoring if I'm still awake. He usually says 'huh?' and rolls over. I never hear him if I'm sleeping, thank goodness! I would definitely wake him if it was waking me!

My DH snores...a LOT. He literally starts snoring before he's even fully asleep, and he falls asleep within minutes of hitting the pillow. It is like a chainsaw in my face all night. I seriously want to strangle him at times.

I start with the nudge, which, over the night, turns into a kick or a full on shove if I get annoyed enough. At that point, he turns over and it usually helps until I can fall asleep.

Same as @FutureMrsMcK: i nudge him and he usually automatically rolls over. If not, i tell him to roll over. He never remembers in the morning.

I nudge or shake him. He usually flips over (he only ever snores when he's lying flat on his back) without waking up, but if he does wake up it's only for a second, I tell him to roll over, and he falls right back asleep and has never remembered it the next morning (once he even jokingly made overly exaggerated snore noises when I nudged him and he didn't remember doing it the next day).

Hubby snores normally so it took me awhile to get used to. He snores exceptionally loud/harder when he's overly tired or has been drinking. On those nights, no matter what I do, he'll just change positions and continue snoring away. I just have to suffer through it unless I move to the guest bedroom to sleep instead. =(

I used to poke, nudge, and roll him over. His snoring got so bad, it would wake me up. It was constant. It got to be a big problem and made me very cranky. A couple times, I'd go sleep on the couch because I was so pissed that his snoring kept waking me up! It wasn't just occasional, either. This went on for MONTHS and my patience wore thin. Turns out he has sleep apnea. CPAP machine to the rescue!

He usually only snores when he has been drinking a lot. So I haven't had to deal with this lately, luckily! But when I do, I usually wake him up to roll on his side and it stops. He likes sleeping on his back and that makes it 100x worse.

I try not to wake him, but I do nudge him. Usually a nudge (or a swift kick!) gets him to stop, without waking him. I feel badly when I wake him because I know he isn’t doing it on purpose; but I can’t sleep when he is sawing logs like nobody’s business.

I tend to kick him while he's sleeping! If that doesn't work, I'll wake him up with a "Hubs! You're snoring! STFU!" He usually rolls over and stops for a little while at least, haha. I've asked him in the morning and he never remembers me being a big jerk to him, so I just continue to do it. I figure I need my sleep too!

If your SO snores, do you wake them?

My husband doesn't usually sleep well but lately he's been sleeping great. Except he has been snoring. Hedoesn't always snore. He works really hard at his job to take care if me and ds (and soon to be dd) that I figure I'll suffer for now and take a nap later. I feel bad when he doesn't sleep well.

What do you do? Do you tell them about it the next morning?
