We haven't gotten snow yet, but they're waterproof and will be good for walking in snow or rain, or slush which is usually our biggest problem. However, I don't think they'd be great boots for playing in the snow. But I don't worry too much about that since he didn't do it all last year when he was 2, and did it once the year before. But we don't live in a climate that gets a ton of snow and she never stayed out long in it. For an older toddler I like LL Bean's Northwoods boots, I think they're called. I've never been a fan of traditional uggs because they aren't practical in my climate but these are the BEST! Super warm, even for our brutal Canadian winters, and cute as well. I can wear them out running errands, or playing in the snow with my kids.
