I'm so sorry, @Boogs:, I didn't see your message earlier. :(

I wouldn't worry too muc about walking around town. You'l need a warm waterproof winter coat, but all the sidewalks will be kept clear and most of the ones downtown are heated anyway! Maybe avoid shoes without much traction and heels, but you won't need boots for walking around town.

If you're going to play in the snow, unless you are actively jumping/rolling in the snow, you can probably get away with jeans and calf high boots. Personally, I buy the cheap ones from Costco and they work out just great. :) just make sure they're waterproof and lined (I.e. not fashion boots).

Your DS wkill need snow pants, a waterproof jacket, snow boots, waterproof gloves and a hat. And all of you might consider bringing your sun glasses! Be sure to buy all of this stuff before you leave; prices in town are completely jacked up and there isn't a Walmart/Target/anything around. Have fun on your trip!

What do you actually wear when you go to the snow? Or those that live in snowy places, what do you wear while just wandering around town? Playing in the snow? Especially what bottoms and shoes do you wear?
