Our DD likes the bird sounds (or, as I call them, "Those damn birds!"). We put the bird sounds on when she goes in the swing, but we also put on our white noise app at the same time. So when the birds run out the white noise is still playing. She doesn't wake up that way!

No clue, but I would always just turn it off and back on before it shut off. But we had the same issue of DS waking as soon as the noise shut off.

No idea, but we had the same issue. I just started using an external white noise.

I haven't found an override. I second the idea of white noise. We have a machine in her room for night/nap sleep, but when she slept in the swing we would put the sleep sheep next to her. It has an auto shut off too, but it was 45 minutes.

@hilsy85: I was thinking I might get our 'adult' white noise machine and plug it in next to the swing. I didn't want to have to use a separate device but if there's no way around it I guess I will!! Who decided a timer on these things was a good idea??! Clearly someone without kids.

Ha I have been in this situation as well, hovering over the swing to hit the sound button the second before it turns off! Maybe you can play some similar music as the swing music at the same time on a cd player/ipod, and just keep that playing? And maybe that will be enough for LO?

I bought this swing yesterday, and my baby LOVES IT. She actually takes a nap!! But I can't figure out how to make the noise stay on. It goes off after a preset amount of time, I think 20 minutes, and within 30 seconds, she's wide awake. I have to hover around and hit the button to turn it back on - which obviously makes lying down or doing anything while she's napping hard. (Also, I have to be a ninja to get over there - our floors are very squeaky in our 80+ year old house!

Anyway, I can't find anything in the manual about it but I'm hoping I'm just missing something. Our cheaper graco swing that she didn't like had a timer option but you could choose to just have the noise on all the time too.
