Before meeting DH, my type was every girl's ideal type. Tall, handsome, successful, says the right things, knows how to romance a girl, etc. But he had to be nerdy and Asian or part Asian. </p> <p>Later I realized that often times, these traits lead to a guy that's 1) a player 2) cocky 3) egotistical 4) used to getting everything his way 5) socially inept 6) defined by his job.</p> <p>DH is a normal guy that wouldn't know how to romance a girl if his life depended on it. I know now that's a good thing :) He's not at all Asian. He doesn't try to prove anything, he's really, really low-key. He has a job he loves and good at, and knows that, in itself, is success. He helps around the house, doesn't expect me to be at all perfect, he bakes, gardens, cooks, takes care of LO. Witty. He's seriously perfect for me and has all the inner qualities and quirks I never knew existed, so I never sought it out. He's like my favorite book character that I never knew really existed.</p> <p>So I guess he is absolutely my type, but I didn't know myself well enough to realize what "my" type actually was years ago.
