I had them pierced in 3rd grade and they got infected, which was when we realized I am allergic to nickel (and jewelry containing nickel). I let them grow over and got them pierced again in 7th grade, but one ear was done crooked and I was too skeeved out to fish around for the opening on the other side. Then a 3rd time (same place, grown over again) in 12th grade for prom. I got bad keloid scars and I was in a changing room and pulled a shirt over my head and my earring ripped right out of my ear -- as in, downwards, through the lobe.</p> <p>Needless to say I didn't bother ever again!
