If you have, you should contact the manufacturer and they *should* provide you with new ones. But I bet that takes a while, so I guess you'll just have to clean them and use them until you can get new ones? So sorry you had to deal with this! I wouldn't worry about her getting some in her mouth (I'm surprised she kept chewing on it w/ that disgusting taste - haha). I'm sure it has to happen to other kids at some point in time. </p> <p>As far as the straps, I think you'll just have to wash them in the sink w/ some soap and water and leave it outside to dry. I packed M in the car to meet friends at the kiddie pool and she had a DISASTER blow out in the car. Her hands were in it and it was absolutely everywhere. It was in her hair, ears, everywhere. The car seat was filled with poop and it was all over the straps. When I went to get her out the poop-covered strap was in her mouth. She loves teething on that strap. Needless to say we skipped the pool and I've been cleaning ever since. I think we literally might have to replace the car seat because the manual says you can't remove the straps and they are completely soaked in poop. I want to cry. </p> <p>All the other issues aside, should I be worried about the poop in her mouth? As a nurse I'm thinking "somebody get some antibiotics over here!". Please tell me I'm overreacting. </p>
