@Foodnerd81: yes, or added leftover to salads. She told me she's craving greens. Plus it's not their house that's getting heated up w the oven...

I made this couscous salad this week, and even my meat and pizza loving husband loved it. I think I'd do a salad selection with this, maybe a pasta salad and a fruit salad?

What about a fruit salad? Maybe like this one that I'm making next week: http://rachelschultz.com/2013/04/02/secret-fruit-salad/

Cut up veggies and dip or fruit would be great. Maybe sandwich fixins?

I think those ideas sound good. The chicken could even be eaten cold, right? I've been wondering the same thing-- my go to meals to take are all winter-y-- mac and cheese, lasagna... Not something I want when it's 90 degrees outside.

So DH's cousin and one of my bffs both had babies a few weeks ago. I want to make them some food and bring it to them Sunday - it's going to be 86 and humid. What should I make? I feel like everything I make is heavy.

I was thinking about:
Honey mustard chicken breasts (baked)
Green beans or broccoli (in ziplock bags they just have to nuke)
Salad (assembled for one, bringing the salad fixings I know the other is missing, and making it while I'm there- we are members to the same CSA and get tons of lettuce)
Strawberries and angel food cake.
