i've heard of ppl sewing on stirrups of some kind to help with that!

here is an easy looking diy to try: http://gogingham.com/2012/07/the-elastic-stirrup-solution/

it's removable, too, so you can of course wear them normally! :)

yeah, sounds like what happens with my straight legs instead of skinny jeans.

I have the same problem with my skinny jeans. My problem is any jeans that fit me in the waist are too big in the leg to stay down in boots. Skinny or not.

@Mrs. Tricycle: Sounds like your jeans are more straight-legged than skinny? Last fall I bough a couple of cheap pairs of very skinny jeans specifically to wear with boots and they're great! They have to be pretty tight on the calves to not ride up.

I have a couple pairs of skinnys that aren't tight enough to not bunch so I tighten them around the ankle and put on a pair of knee high socks over them.

My jeans are not only skinny but super stretchy too... kind of like jeggings. But more jean-like than legging-like. So mine don't do that.

Most of the time they stay down but I ditto pp about folding them to make them tighter at the ankle. I'll also tuck them into my socks if I know I won't need to take off my shoes!

@sorrycharlie: that picture is awesome. I hope you stand all sassy like that when you fold them.

I think the problem is partly they aren't tight enough, but also folding them helPs a lot. I fold them up to just above the ankle, and they are tight enough that they won't actually slide up higher- like it's hard to get socks under them. But that means they are extra unflattering without the boots.

Mine stay down, but when I wear regular style jeans I fold them 80s style - folding/tucking the fabric in along the inside seam, and then rolling up the cuff once or twice!

Like this but tighter:

Usually I wear some long-ish socks over my skinnies to hold them in my boots. When I'm putting the socks over the jeans I neatly fold up any excess jean material along one of the seams. This keeps the jeans from bunching around my ankles/calves under the socks, and also from sliding out of the boots. This same method works if you want to wear non-skinny jeans with boots.

Your jeans must not be tight enough, or your boots aren't tall enough? I wear skinnies + boots often and this doesn't happen to me!

I do own one pair of skinny jeans and I've tried a bunch of times to tuck them into my boots -- but it never lasts. As soon as I sit down, the pants start to pull out of the boot and then I have this blowsy fabric bunch around my knees / the top of the boots. Another reason skinny jeans drive me nuts!

What am I doing wrong? Are my jeans not tight enough? Is there a "trick"?
