Keep it up if you can and want to! :) It took me about 3 months for my milk to come in completely. Hard a rough time til then, but it was worth it! Made it til 15 months before I dried up because I was pregnant!

@lemondrop: I know! They're growing up way too fast. I get a little heartbroken with every milestone she makes.

As far as breastfeeding is concerned, I was hoping to make it to 6 months so I can cross that off my list. And now that DH and I are going on a 5 day trip in November w/o DD, I was hoping to be dried up by then so I didn't have to worry about pumping on vacation. But I think you guys have persuaded me to keep it up at least for one more month and then see how it goes.

It's just frustrating when I had my mind made up and thought about how wonderful it would be to not be strapped to the pump like a cow. Haha!

@BabyBoecksMom: I went through this. I quit, went to exclusively pumping and then one day we found nursing worked again. I say, do what feels good to you. Maybe nurse her a couple times a day and see how things progress from there?

Also WOW on the extra supply! Woohoo for freezer stash!

I would do whatever you want to do! If you really really really don't want to do it. You don't have to. Your baby is going to be happy and healthy no matter what you decide, and you should do what makes you happy and healthy too.

I would keep going, but nursing is important to me and I know that everyone views it differently.

Mentally that has got to be tough! But things happen for a reason, so I would probably do a hybrid of nursing and pumping. Take it day by day and go with how you feel at that time.

How long were you planning to go originally? She's on the closer end of a year! Makes me sad that they are getting so big, so fast.

Seriously! The whole time I've been breastfeeding, I've had the hardest time trying to produce/pump enough. Couple that with having to move to exclusive pumping because she refused to sit long enough to nurse, and I finally decided to throw in the towel.

Well, over the past two weeks, I've collected 90 extra oz to throw in the freezer! And she has decided she likes nursing again. Yay, right? Not really because I had my mind made up to quit and I was looking forward to stopping and getting rid of all the pump parts.

So now I'm totally confused about whether I should stop or try to keep it up. What would you do?
