But, also, I felt the exact same way as you when I was in your shoes! I really, really, really wanted BFing to work, everyone in my family BF with seemingly no problems, etc., and I just couldn't ever make even close to enough and they had other eating problems as well. It really stung for a long time when people would make an assumption I was BFing or would comment on how much better it was or just take for granted that it's doable for everyone. Plus, I really struggled with the idea that formula was a good choice, and felt like I was destining my kids to a life of no intelligence, obesity, sickness., etc. Now, it doesn't bother me much. I have these thriving, growing, happy, healthy boys who absorb and learn just like other babies. I still really, really hope to make BFing work this time around, but I hope I'll be more gentle with myself than I was last time if we aren't successful. </p> <p>Hang in there, mama! Breastfeeding is hard even with a good nurser. Nobody tells you about it until you're going through it.
