I didn't want anything else either! If my mil gave me other diapers I would probably keep them because hey were a gift, I wouldn't want to offend her, and id put them out when she's babysitting so she could use them. So they would be super expensive burp cloths. I think we've decided to suck it up and try using the prefolds when we run out of AIOs. A package of six lesser quality Gerber burp clothes are I think ~$12. If it's comparable, just think of it as now not having to buy burp cloths. If the econobums are a LOT more..maybe give it a week or two and then try to talk to her about it, in a casual way. "Oh, I was checking out this website and found X diaper that I love! Perhaps you can wait and see what she actually ordered - probably with some of the brand you actually wanted? And see how many she ordered? It might be good to have a small variety in case your chosen one doesn't work out, or at least you'll have spares for outings and stuff?<br /> I haven't researched cloth diapers yet, but my friend w/twins used them and I remember she was very vocal about how costly they were and only having a very limited quantity of them.<br /> P.S. I totally understand and sympathize though about pretending to get stuff you don't like.
