I'm afraid I have no calming words of wisdom today, I actually have a baby now and it turns out I haven't got a CLUE! lol. You are talking to the woman who has never taken a headache pill in her life but is now popping painkillers (prescribed for mastitis which has now gone) even though I'm not actually in pain! Preemptive strike! But I wanted to pop in and send you hugs  and wish you all the best with the move. Not long now and you wont have to worry about that awful noisy traffic... and Princess H can have the peace and quiet she so rightly demands!

My guess is early teething, they are moving up to pop out soon. It could also just be uneasiness about all the packing/change.

I second what @MrsMccarthy: said! My son went through the same thing around 9-10 months, it was like I was breaking his heart every time I sat him in his crib and he would wake several times a night just crying. Some times I would give up and go in and he would instantly fall asleep in my arms but after a week or so I went back to sleep training and he went back to being his good sleeping self  Good luck momma! It is just a phase for sure! Teething, mental/physical development, etc would make me a fussypants too!

Oh honey I so feel your pain. I went through this with Tor when separation anxiety hit. Between 6-9 month somewhere they start to understand object permanence and that you are a separate being from them and do not just disappear when you leave. Tor was a late teether an didn't get his first two teeth till 10 months but I was so convinced he was teething because of this behavior. It still may be that she is working on some teeth too which would compound things. I know some women will put things that smell like them in the the crib with their babies, sometimes even breast milk covered items when it's desperate. Having a lovey may help. Even if its not something of yours if you always offer her the same soft toy and keep it with you guys all the time perhaps she will feel more secure during sleep training or pter times that you can't be with her. I've lurked on your whole journey and I know it's been rough. Fx that you find a solution that works for you soon. She sounds like a feisty little thing. Xo

@rawrasaur: She hit the 6th leap last week but hasnt had any changes so far...It coukd be it though! Usually when she hits a WW hard, she is a total crankpants even for me- when I pick her up...

@bunnylove08: I almost did run for the hills today...almost really did!

Thanks, everyone! She whimpered a few times but went right back to sleep. I'm in bed, listening to the horrific street traffic and praying it doesnt wake her. I can't wait to be out of this hot mess apartment!!!

Hugs! I am so sorry you are going through this. I'd give in. It sounds like she's teething, she had a rough day and is experiencing a big change in her life (the move). Remember, she's slept well before, she can (and will!) do it again.

Either way, I would just give in and do what works for you through the move. You can "re-train" her when you are settled and I imagine it will be easier than the first time.

@Silva: we moved from our house to a temp rental on june 15th, so she's gotten used to this place. We close on the house we're building on Aug 19, but we have to be out of the rental Aug 8 (tomorrow...our closing was orig scheduled for the 8th but got pushed back, and we couldn't extend this sublease - long story...). So H & I are flying to my parents' for the 10 days we're homeless, and my husband left Mon to go offshore. Does your mind hurt from processing that? Mine does! But I work SO hard on keeping things consistent for her and she normally does soooo good:). Today she was Horrible Harper!!!

She might be teething... She might just be working something out and need her momma a little more than usual today. She's not coming down with anything is she? We had to derail sleeping training when DS got a cold.
In any case, a few extra cuddles won't derail your training. You can always pick it back up later if it gets thrown off. It sounds like you're moving (?) so it might get thrown off anyway from the change.

I don't know what the hell is going on today. We are staying in a temp rental theough tomorrow. H & I fly tomorrow to stay with my parents for 10 days until we fly back to close on our house (Dh is offshore for all of this). Since today was our last day, obviously it was my final day to get everything packed up and stored away (in our friend's garage) and get us packed for my parents. Even though we were in a furnished rental and 98% of our stuff is in storage with the moving company, the 2% of crap we brought with us still adds up to enough that we have to store it somewhere. DH brought most of it over the weekend, but I still had to make a couple of trips for things I needed through the last minute- like the high chair. Guys, H has cried SOOO much today if I'm not right next to her or holding her. Which means it was SUPER hard to get things packed much less clean up... I had to put her in the carseat to load the stuff up and bring to our friends' and she cried for 45 mins straight until falling asleep for 20 mins and waking up and immediately screaming her face off again. But as soon as I park and take her out, she's sunshine and smiles. And everywhere we went, I wore her and when everyone fell all over her, she was her typical smiley self for all of her subjects.

I *may* see 2 bumps in her bottom gums, but they're not white so I don't know if they're really teeth trying to come in.

Then when I put her down, she angry-cried for 15 mins, which is my limit, so I went in. She felt me up, so I nursed her. I also gave her a low dose of tylenol (not the full dose) just in case she's in pain...She was practically comatose when I put her down, but immediately started SCREAMING. Since I knew she was fine when I picked her up, I decided to give it 30 mins, never thinking she would go that long. Well she pretty much hit roght at 30. I actually had to step outside for fresh air and called DH bc my head feels like it's splitting into a million pieces from so. much. Crying today!

I had to take tylenol. I'm totally stressed too about getting everything done (WORST day she could have whatever this is happen)....I've gotten almost everything done now...

Oh shit...She's waking up...What do I do? DH thinks she needs comfort bc her teeth are coming in, but I dont really know for sure that's what is happening, plus I gave her tylenol.

I do NOT want to F up sleep training bc it is going to be the death of me.

She put herself back to sleep..Does this sound like teething? Do I wait my normal 15 mins for wakeups?

Her sleep stresses me the F out.
