I completely 100% believe that I willed myself into labor because Mrs. Bee and I had the same due date, and she went into labor with Charlie the night before our due date and I was SO. JEALOUS. I went into labor on our due date at 5am!

Hang in there.. the end waiting is the worst!! You will make it!!!

I totally know where you're coming from! I watched 2 of my friends who were due after me have their babies before I finally had ours at 42 weeks. It's hard and emotional, but the waiting is SO worth it!! Don't feel guilty about feeling jealous. I flat out told my friend that I couldn't meet her daughter yet since I was likely to be jealous and didn' t want to spoil it. She totally understood.

Your LO just likes being in your belly all comfy and cozy, they come when they want to. Unfortunately it's the first step in telling you they're in charge now!

@mediagirl: I have tried all the "tricks" to try and bring on Oxytocin, except for holding a baby I guess. I've been doing the sex, nipple stimulation, etc.
Even eating lots of spicy food and walking and bouncing on a ball and raspberry leaf tea and massage and acupressure.... UGH! lol

Awww:( I've heard the end is the worst! Maybe you can try to enjoy things you won't be able to do once LO arrives, like going to a movie or having a quiet dinner or go get a mani/pedi. She can't stay in there forever:) So cool that you will have them so close together!

@Mrsdaredevil: ps...oxytocin, that's the hormone I was thinking about. Sex is supposed to help get it going and it's not just a sexual hormone. Babies can totally get it going, too. It's all about LOVE. :)

@Mrsdaredevil: awwwwwwwwwwww! You WILL NOT be pregnant forever!! I promise. I know it sucks right now and yes, it sucks that she had a super easy delivery and had her baby early but your baby just isn't ready to be here yet! Big hugs, mama. You will forget all about this when she's here, in your arms, your beautiful baby girl. Keep holding out, she'll come when she's ready!

In the meantime, go see your friend. Give her a big hug and cry with her if you have to, she'll understand. See if you can hold that baby, too. Maybe those hormones of holding another baby will get your uterus contracting. :)

I think this waiting has to be the hardest thing I have dealt with emotionally. I thought she would be here by now.

It doesn't help that I literally don't feel ANYTHING. I don't even know what a Braxton Hicks feels like!

@jessiejo17: He actually was 7 lbs and super healthy. Looks like no preemie issues at all!

At 36 weeks!
We have gone through this whole process together, and I had always assumed I would give birth first since I was due 4 weeks and a couple days before her.

Well, she had her baby today after being in labor for only 5 hours.

As selfish as it sounds, I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that her baby just slid out at 36 weeks and here I am at 40 weeks trying EVERY TRICK IN THE BOOK and still, no baby.

I am going to be pregnant forever....
