DH was pulled off assignment from a company in February. By April, he was working with another company in the same building on the same floor and now they have the biggest office on the floor :P His old company is really suffering but they have terrible money management issues. I would strongly suggest filing a timely appeal and making sure you have a hearing. You may also want to contact your local Legal Aid Society for representation. Even if your husband is initially denied UC benefits because of what his employer reported, there is often no evidence to substantiate it once you get to hearing. </p> <p>The laws vary state by state but in my state (which is pretty employer-friendly), you have to do something pretty egregious to commit "misconduct" and be ineligible for UC. A mistake is not enough - generally the conduct has to be intentional or recklessly negligent. You can google laws in your state to find out the exact language of the applicable statute.</p> <p>I literally win cases for people ALL the time that would definitely lose if they had represented themselves and didn't know the law.
