I just smiled and nodded and then went on to explain that I have diastasis which requires special exercises and sometimes even surgery to fix - that Cross Fit definitely wouldn't help! I am annoyed by myself that I felt I needed to explain my situation after her stupid, thoughtless comment. :( </p> <p>Thankfully, I've always had relatively good self image when it comes to my body and the postpartum period hasn't changed that too much - it is what it is after having 2 babies. So I wasn't too hurt by her comment, just more shocked by the insensitivity. I think it's hard for people to understand how hard body changes can be after pregnancy.
